Unlocking a New Area on eBIRD!

On June 26th, I headed on the plane from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, flying to Urumqi, Xinjiang. The moment I landed, I felt a strong wave of heat and saw welcoming Xinjiang people, marking the start of my birding journey in Xinjiang.
On June 27th, I arrived at the Tianshan Mountains and Tianchi Lake Scenic Area for a light walk among the snow mountains.
As I climbed on the stairs, I saw a few Himalayan Griffons soar above me, marking my first new species in Xinjiang.
More climbing waited for me, and the moment I was exhausted, I saw a small red figure hop onto a stone beside me. It was a Rufous-backed Redstart.
The Redstart has a speck of white on its head and a large patch of red on its chest and belly. It was hopping on the rock beside me and wandering around, looking for something. It stayed for a minute, seeming to ignore the people passing by, then flew away.
